Nicole Daedone, co-founder and leader of OneTaste, a women’s wellness company that promoted “orgasmic meditation,” was sentenced to nine years in federal prison after being convicted on forced labor charges. A judge also ordered her to forfeit assets tied to the operation. Prosecutors said Daedone and others used coercion to compel employees to work for little or no pay and to support the company’s activities; her sentence adds to a series of high-profile legal actions involving sexual exploitation, including recent sex-trafficking convictions in Manhattan and a major civil verdict against Bill Cosby.
