They organized these signatures into a modular architecture of ageing and mortality hallmarks, highlighting shared pathways across tissues and species. These conserved molecular patterns can help connect tissue-specific mechanisms — for example, inflammation and metabolic changes implicated in gut–brain studies — to broader, cross-species ageing programs.
