Artemis 2’s lunar flyby and the contemporaneous crew aboard China’s Tiangong space station produced a new record for the greatest distance ever between humans. Artemis 2 traveled farther from Earth than anyone in history during its planned loop around the Moon, while Tiangong remained in low Earth orbit.
