
The Defense Department has signed agreements with seven leading AI firms, including Microsoft, Amazon and Google, to deploy their technology on classified Pentagon networks and accelerate military capabilities. A separate, related set of agreements with Nvidia, Microsoft and AWS expands use of advanced AI tools on classified networks, reinforcing the department's move to integrate commercial AI suppliers. The deals advance capabilities even as the Pentagon and the White House continue to wrestle with safety and data‑security disputes involving other vendors.
