The Timberwolves completed a three-team trade that sends Julius Randle and the No. 28 draft pick to the Brooklyn Nets, moves center Nic Claxton to the Chicago Bulls, and gives Minnesota the No. 33 pick from Brooklyn. The deal gives the Nets a veteran, three-time All-Star forward and slightly alters late first-round positioning among the teams. Shortly afterward, Minnesota acquired LaMelo Ball in a separate deal that sent Naz Reid to Charlotte, further reshaping the roster and signaling a move toward more playmaking and scoring around Anthony Edwards.
