An Iranian missile strike on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia damaged multiple military jets and destroyed an E-3 Sentry early warning and control aircraft, the first known combat loss of that type. The attack also wounded U.S. service members and damaged refueling and other support aircraft. The IRGC's claimed shootdown of a USAF F-15E (with debris photos circulated on April 3) fits a pattern of Iranian strikes and claims affecting high-value airborne assets, increasing regional risk and prompting reassessments of force posture and base protection.
