Valve will begin shipping its Steam Machine on June 29 for $1,049 and is using a randomized purchase queue it says will make buying "less frustrating and more fair." The queue is intended to reduce bot and scalper activity and improve the chance for genuine customers to purchase hardware. Despite the measure, limited initial stock means many people may still find it difficult to buy one immediately.
