The Artemis II crew used a compact flywheel device for strength and cardio to counteract microgravity effects, and those workouts were monitored as part of a broader human-health experiment aboard Orion. In combination with incubated biological samples and continuous physiological measurements, the flywheel evaluation offers direct evidence of how small exercise systems perform in actual deep-space conditions. Findings will inform exercise prescriptions and hardware choices for future missions.
